Following the signing of Nils Röseler during the week, SV Sandhausen have now tied down midfielder Emanuel Taffertshofer for another year.
The 25-year-old had joined the club from Würzburger Kickers in 2018 and whilst not always a regular he has been a dependably part of Uwe Koschinat’s midfield, making 28 appearances including 14 this year. He has been a regular starter more recently, missing just one of the last nine games due to suspension.
“I am very happy to be part of the SVS family for another year and to be able to develop further,” he said in a club statement. “I’m looking forward to the tasks ahead and to continuing on the path I have embarked on with the team and the club.”
“He has continued to develop and has become a very reliable midfield player for us”, confirmed Koschinat, with sporting director Mikayil Kabaca added that he is a “valuable player” for the club.
